Vettel won the last Bahrain GP, and the last race two weeks ago, but can he do it again or will Mercedes take their first win of the year?

A new season, a new start, F1 is back and hopefully better than ever. With 21 races in 2018 the season will be the joint longest, starting with the Australian GP.

My predictions last year were actually surprisingly good, couple of mistakes sure, but the majority was pretty spot on. And as has become tradition, the three main StatBlog writers will be doing predictions again to see who ends up closest.

With testing over for another season, it’s time for my analysis of testing distance, cars and my usual hint of silliness.

It should have been the most incredible comeback story. Nearly seven years after his life-threatening and life-changing accident, 2008 Canadian Grand Prix winner Robert Kubica appeared set to return to Formula 1 this year with Williams, which would have been his first full-time seat outside of rallying since he raced for Renault in 2010. However, Kubica lost out to Renault reserve driver Sergey Sirotkin. An underwhelming choice, considering they let a perfectly competent driver leave on his own terms.
