A rather dull Russian GP really, Rosberg started and pole and looked to keep the lead right up until his car stopped working.
Lewis Hamilton led every lap after that and took the win, Sebastian Vettel took second place and third eventually went to Sergio Perez. Third would have gone to either Valtteri Bottas or Kimi Raikkonen, but on the last lap Raikkonen hit Bottas and Perez took the position. The fastest lap of the race (and a new Russian GP lap record) went to Sebastian Vettel with a time of 1:40.071, the fastest last year was Bottas with 1:40.896.
Felipe Massa had a poor qualifying, starting just 15th, but recovered in the race to fourth, gaining eleven positions. Carlos Sainz almost had a similar race, he started 20th after being unable to take part in qualifying and was running in seventh before his car suffered brake problems and was eventually forced to retire.
Only a few changes, but one very noticeable one, Vettel has moved up to second in the championship and Rosberg down to third. Daniil Kvyat has moved back ahead of teammate Daniel Ricciardo. And finally Perez and Grosjean have swapped places for the fourth race in a row.
