As it is the Finnish Independence Day today what better than some stats on all the Finns in F1, from Leo Kinnunen to Heikki Kovalainen. Eight Finns have entered an F1 race, with all but one, Mikko Kozarowitzky, starting at least once race.

Number two in the teammate head to heads, with the Toro Rosso and Williams drivers. Some more stats to give this time as they have all scored points and made it into Q2 or Q3.

I think it's about time for the teammate head to heads, starting with the three teams at the back of the grid and moving my way up. So who was the better driver at HRT, Marussia and Caterham last year?

Well the season is finally over, guess it's time for some full stats of the 2012 season. You may remember me doing something similar a few weeks ago (here) but now it's over I can give even more stats and info.

Wow, what a race that was, had a little bit of everything, we even had Kimi Räikkönen getting lost off track. Nico Hülkenberg led a race for the first ever time, looking good for a win, a podium at least until he made a mistake at turn 1 forcing Lewis Hamilton to retire and getting a drive through for himself.

It’s amazing to think that 12 months ago, Sebastian Vettel was dominating the F1 season. This time around, the World Drivers’ Championship is going down to the final race, taking place in Brazil.

A pretty good first race at the Circuit of the Americas, with some clever tactics from Ferrari before the race start to get both Alonso and Massa on the clean side of the grid. Red Bull suffered from their third alternator failure of the season, it previous failed at Valencia and Monza.

Something I thought about earlier on in the day, does Bottas replacing Senna in FP1 have any effect on Senna's qualifying performance? Could Williams have many more points if Senna was given more FP1 time?

Despite not ever hosting a race before I actually have a lot of, hopefully, interesting stats of the new Circuit of the Americas and American GPs in general. The circuit is 5.516km long with 20 corners, the fourth most corners on the calendar behind Valencia, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. The race will have 56 laps, unless it reaches the two hour cut off, a race distance of 308.896km, which again is the fourth most on the calendar.

So who deserves the title? Alonso? Vettel? Karthikeyan? Or just whoever finishes with the most points. There are two races left, fifty points up for grabs and just two drivers able to win. Four drivers have been leading the Drivers' Championship at some point in the season, Alonso has led for 10 races, Vettel for 5, Hamilton for 2 and Jenson Button just 1.
