Can Ferrari do it again? Will Mercedes get back to the top? Or maybe even someone else will win the Chinese GP.

Taken a little bit longer than usual for the Chinese GP post-race stats, partially due to being at Silverstone for the WEC and partially due to laziness!

Shanghai, the 2014 Chinese GP and the track with the longest straight currently in Formula One. Lewis Hamilton has won the last two GPs, but has never in his career won three in a row.

The 2013 Chinese GP was Fernando Alonso’s 200th race start and it went a lot better than his 200th race a few weeks ago in Malaysia. Alonso won the race from 3rd on the grid, his 31st race win and 10th for Ferrari.

MADE IN CHINA. The Shanghai International Circuit is one of five circuits on the calendar with “International Circuit” in the name. A slightly pointless stat but something that irritates me about modern circuits.

Accurate information on the lengths of straights in Formula One is hard to come by, often with very different lengths from different websites and sources, so I have done my best to find the real lengths of the longest straights from reliable sources.
