Red Bull were the lowest placed team with multiple podium finishes and just three points separated their drivers making them the closest point scoring teammates.
Position | Driver | Wins | Podiums | Poles | Fastest Laps | Points |
7 | Daniil Kvyat | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 95 |
8 | Daniel Ricciardo | 0 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 92 |
Kvyat just about edged ahead of Ricciardo in the championship, but Ricciardo had an extra podium and three fastest laps.
Driver | Race Finish | Started Ahead | Qualified Ahead | Faster Race Lap |
Daniil Kvyat | 8 | 7 | 7 | 8 |
Daniel Ricciardo | 6 | 12 | 12 | 10 |
Slightly noticeable difference in this table, Kvyat seems to have had the better results in race, and Ricciardo the much better results in qualifying and fastest laps.
Driver | Out of Q1 | Out of Q2 | Into Q3 |
Daniil Kvyat | 1 | 5 | 13 |
Daniel Ricciardo | 0 | 2 | 17 |
Another table that pretty much just shows how good Daniel Ricciardo is in qualifying, one of just four drivers that didn’t drop out of Q1 at all in 2015. On top of that impressive stat he only dropped out of Q2 twice and had the joint most Q3s (excluding the Mercedes who made every Q3).
Driver | Best Finish | 2nd Best Finish | 3rd Best Finish | 4th Best Finish |
Daniil Kvyat | 2 | 4 | 4 | 4 |
Daniel Ricciardo | 2 | 3 | 5 | 5 |
Both drivers had the same best finish, Ricciardo the second best and Kvyat the best third and fourth, overall it’s about even.
Driver | Average Qualifying | Average Finish | Top 10s | Retirements |
Daniil Kvyat | 8.68 | 7.50 | 14 | 2 |
Daniel Ricciardo | 7.26 | 8.29 | 13 | 2 |
Final tables for today and it backs up most of what I was saying before, Kvyat had the better races and Ricciardo the better qualifying. Both had the same number of retirements, though Kvyat had one DNS, and a similar number of points finishes.
