Something I thought about earlier on in the day, does Bottas replacing Senna in FP1 have any effect on Senna's qualifying performance? Could Williams have many more points if Senna was given more FP1 time?

Pre-race Statistics of the United States GP
Despite not ever hosting a race before I actually have a lot of, hopefully, interesting stats of the new Circuit of the Americas and American GPs in general. The circuit is 5.516km long with 20 corners, the fourth most corners on the calendar behind Valencia, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. The race will have 56 laps, unless it reaches the two hour cut off, a race distance of 308.896km, which again is the fourth most on the calendar.

So who deserves the title? Alonso? Vettel? Karthikeyan? Or just whoever finishes with the most points. There are two races left, fifty points up for grabs and just two drivers able to win. Four drivers have been leading the Drivers' Championship at some point in the season, Alonso has led for 10 races, Vettel for 5, Hamilton for 2 and Jenson Button just 1.

A surprisingly action packed Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, a race that previously has only been won from the front row. Pole position doesn't seem to be a good place to be in Abu Dhabi either, in 2009 Hamilton started on pole and retired on lap 19, in 2011 Vettel on pole, retired on lap 1 after a puncture and now again in 2012 with Hamilton on pole, retired on lap 19, again.

The Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates is a 5.554km circuit, a 50 lap race with a race length of 305.470km. In the three races at the circuit all have been won from the front row, but only one from pole position, which was Sebastian Vettel in 2010. There are a total of 21 corners, which is the third most of any track on the grid.

Another not so exciting Indian Grand Prix, yet again with Sebastian Vettel starting on pole and then leading every single lap. After winning the race Vettel now has over 1000 points, a total of 1013, behind only Fernando Alonso (1313 points) and Michael Schumacher (1560 points).

Accurate information on the lengths of straights in Formula One is hard to come by, often with very different lengths from different websites and sources, so I have done my best to find the real lengths of the longest straights from reliable sources.

It's not really particularly easy to come up with a lot of stats for a track that's only been raced at once, with every single lap being led by Sebastian Vettel, but I shall try my best anyway! The Buddh International Circuit is a 5.137km circuit with 16 corners and 60 laps, a race distance of 308.220km, the 7th longest race distance of the year. The lap record was (surprise surprise) set by Sebastian Vettel last year with a time of 1:27.249, an average speed of 122kph, exactly the same average speed as Sepang.
