The F1 night race! The Singapore GP is this weekend, assuming the smog doesn’t cancel the race.

Magnificent Monza? Not so much, a bit of a slow Italian GP. It started and finished well but once everyone had pitted there was very little action on track.

The long break is over, at last F1 is back with the Belgian GP, and we no longer need to spend every Sunday making our own engine noises.

It’s half way into the season with a long summer break, the perfect time to compare the stats of the season to see how well each driver has been doing.

What a race that was! For almost the entire race you couldn’t be sure who would finish on the podium. Much like in Silverstone the two Mercedes locked out the front row and then lost it by turn one, this time with the two Ferraris prancing ahead of the Silver Arrows. Hamilton started the race on pole but very quickly …

The Hungarian GP is just about half way into the season and it looks like Mercedes are walking away with both championships. The Silver Arrows have more points than Ferrari and Williams combined.

What a race that was! Easily the best race so far this season, the podium ended up with the same three drivers as most races this season but still a spectacular race.

Some very early stats this week, but as I’ll be in London for Formula E and Race Week London until Tuesday this is the best time to write everything.

The hills are alive with the sound of horsepower, unless you have a Honda engine. McLaren somehow managed to have a 50 place grid penalty at the Austrian GP, 25 for each driver.
