Magnificent Monza was not quite as good as hoped, though the Italian GP definitely had its moments.

After the long break we have back to back races, and they’re two of the most historic races in Formula One.

So, Italy… Not quite as exciting as anyone was hoping for, but not a bad race.

Monza! The home of the Italian GP and the most raced at track in F1, a proper classic track.

Magnificent Monza? Not so much, a bit of a slow Italian GP. It started and finished well but once everyone had pitted there was very little action on track.

Hamilton takes his sixth win and fifth pole of the season at the Italian GP! Rosberg close behind in second, who could have won the race had he not made an error at turn 1 (TWICE!) forcing him to slowly cut the chicane while Hamilton drove by to take the lead.

Some more slightly late post-race stats, sorry about that! Vettel won the Italian GP, putting him on 222 points for the season. In the 12 races so far Vettel has been on the podium in 9 of them, finishing a race no lower than fourth.

The Italian GP, back in 1950 Giuseppe Farina won the first ever World Drivers’ Championship here and is the only driver to win the title in his home country. Monza is the most used circuit in F1 history, it has been used every year since 1950 with the exception of 1980.
