Some more slightly late post-race stats, sorry about that! Vettel won the Italian GP, putting him on 222 points for the season. In the 12 races so far Vettel has been on the podium in 9 of them, finishing a race no lower than fourth.

Pre-race Statistics of the Italian GP

The Italian GP, back in 1950 Giuseppe Farina won the first ever World Drivers’ Championship here and is the only driver to win the title in his home country. Monza is the most used circuit in F1 history, it has been used every year since 1950 with the exception of 1980.

Anyway, the 60th F1 Monaco GP is over and Mercedes have finally converted a pole position into a win. Nico Rosberg achieved his third consecutive pole position, the last person to do so in a Mercedes was Juan Manuel Fangio in 1954 on the way to his second Drivers’ Championship.
