Pre-race stats

The German GP returns after a year away, it was supposed to appear in 2015 at the Nurburgring but was cancelled.

Hungary! A race that traditionally the Red Bulls have been very strong at, so Mercedes may have a race on their hands for once.

A historic British GP this weekend as it is the 50th F1 race at Silverstone, only the third track to reach 50.

F1 is back to the Red Bull Ring for the 29th Austrian GP, all but one of which have been held at the track.

The European GP is back and at a new track in a new country, Azerbaijan.

Canada! The seventh race this season and surprisingly the start of the first double header, with the Canadian GP this weekend and European GP next.

Monaco! The race where half the grid ignore the silly helmet rule and have a special helmet anyway.

The start of the European season is here with the Spanish GP and Red Bull have surprised most people by promoting Max Verstappen to Red Bull and putting Daniil Kvyat back in Toro Rosso.

First of all, apologies for the late Russian GP stats, I haven’t been feeling too well recently and still not great now but they have to be done. Anyway, this is the third Russian GP, and only six months since the last one as the F1 calendar was mixed up quite a bit this season.

Thankfully the FIA have FINALLY seen some sense and reverted back to 2015 qualifying from the 2016 Chinese GP onwards.
